Documentaries
1. In the Search Engine
From the advanced search screen in the first drop-down write documental. In the second drop-down select "Subject" and write in Catalan the specific subject you are looking for. As a type of material, choose "Video DVD".
In the image you can see how to look for documentaries about women:
Look at what library the documentary is and its call number, that will allow you to find it on the shelves. If the result is unsatisfactory, eliminate the term documental from the search and the system will return you television programs and other videos and DVDs on the subject you are looking for.
The UAB libraries have subscribed to Academic Video Online, a streaming educational video platform with more than 70,000 titles. It includes channels like Documentary, Documentary Educational Resources (ethnographic films), The Art of Documentary Filmmaking, The Art of Documentary Editing, etc.
