Master description

The master's degree consists of 60 credits and offers contents related specifically with research, assessment and interventions in the field of communication and language disorders, of which 15 credits are compulsory and 12 correspond to the Master Thesis.
The 15 compulsory credits provide students with a solid training in research methods and techniques, as well as in all the latest advances in neurobiology in the field of communication and language disorders. The remaining 33 credits belong to the master's degree two specialisations.
The Specialisation in Speech-Therapy Intervention and Research is aimed at recent graduates and professionals in speech therapy. It is based on a compulsory 12 credit module consisting of an advanced work placement in speech therapy interventions, which include clinical and assistance practices, as well as clinical seminars and updates on intervention techniques offered by specialists. By choosing their own optional modules, students have the change to focus on specialised interventions or on strengthening their research skills, while also renewing any skills they deem of special interest in this field.
The Specialisation in Updating and Research in Language, Voice and Auditory Deficit begins with a year-long compulsory 9 credit research practicum in communication and language disorders, and is complemented with other optional modules offering the latest new advances in fields related to these disorders, as well as specific areas of interest such as a module dedicated to the observation of professional praxis in speech therapy interventions.
