The academic year is divided into semesters.

Full-time, option of a slow track.

Basic and compulsory training

First-year students take certain subjects common to all language and literature degrees plus the subjects belonging to their two programmes (A and B). In the second year they opt for one of the following: Catalan, Spanish, Classics or French. The subjects they took within the programme they are leaving will be fully recognised as part of their definitive programme.

The degree coordinator will offer personal guidance to students.

First year

Subjects common to all programmes (semesters 1 and 2):
  • Introduction to Linguistics
  • Comparative Literature

Two options to be chosen (A and B) from the following: Catalan, Spanish, Classics, French.

  • Latin Texts
Second, third and fourth year:

As from the second year, students choose one track and take the subjects specified in one of the following syllabuses (second, third and fourth year):
