Extraordinary doctoral awards 2018-19


Extraordinary doctoral awards for the 2018-2019 academic year Doctoral Program in Materials Science (PDCM)
 

The Academic Committee of the PDCM establishes the following criteria to propose the extraordinary doctoral awards relating to the 2018-2019 academic year (Oct 1st 2018- Sept. 30th 2019).

They are as follows:

CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION OF SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS:

1) Original articles in scientific journals: These will be scored taking into account the impact factor of the journal. Each contribution will score twice the impact factor. Applicant contribution scores will be divided by N, where N is the candidate’s position on the list of authors. In the event that this is in alphabetical order, the PhD thesis supervisor must specify the degree of participation of the candidate.

2) Patents: A distinction will be made between patents in exploitation (40 points) and nonexploitation (4 points).

3) Papers at conferences: There will be oral communications (6 points), flash (3 points) and posters (1 point).

4) Other contributions: international PhD doctorate, book chapters, scientific dissemination, etc ...

They will be scored at the discretion of the committee up to a maximum of 10 points.

 

COMPOSITION OF THE COMMITTEE:

The committee will be made up of three full members and two substitutes, all doctors with accredited research experience:

  • President: Dr. Roger Bofill (Dept. Química, UAB)
  • Vocal: Dr. Jordi Arbiol (ICN2)
  • Secretary: Dr. Marta González (Dept. Física, UAB)
  • Substitute 1: Dr. Gerard Tobias (ICMAB)
  • Substitute 2: Dr. Roser Pleixats (Dept. Química, UAB)
