Presentation of the PhD Program

The PhD, or doctorate, is the third of the official University studies. It is centered on teaching and perfecting the abilities and scientific knowledge intimately close to a scientific research of ultimate quality, and it eventually culminates into a Thesis presentation. The student is considered an investigator in training, therefore the PhD must be achieved through an original work of research following an individual, transversal and specialized, training plan.

Through its Research Units, the Physics Department offers two different PhD programs:

• MATERIALS SCIENCE PhD
