Human Centered Technologies

Now H2O is a project by Felix Klöckner which aims to improve access to drinking water in Africa using the advantages of new technologies available, specifically mobile technology.

Through a device installed in the water pumps and connected to the 2G network, H2Onow can collect information about the wells. With the data collected, H2Onow is able to generate customized recommendations about the state of water pumps using SMS. This service will reduce uncertainty about the functioning wells nearby, which in some areas are at a distance of up to 4 hours.
