Libraries closed

Following the instructions that the Government of the Generalitat has transmitted to the educational system of Catalonia as a whole, the UAB will suspend classroom teaching activity from tomorrow, March 13, 2020, in all its campuses and educational centers. The libraries, study classrooms and the Physical Activity Service will be closed. The UAB Study Room (Social Sciences) and the UAB Study Room (Civic Plaza) will also remain closed. The rest of activities related to teaching and research, as well as university services, will remain operational and open, with the necessary measures to guarantee the health of the university community.

Face-to-face teaching will be replaced by virtual teaching. The teaching staff will establish the guidelines of operation with their students. The virtual teaching carried out during the period of suspension of the classes will be part of the evaluation of the subjects.

In the case of practical subjects, laboratory activities, field trips and other cases that cannot be performed in a virtual way, the teaching staff will propose specific substitution actions and communicate them to the students. In the case of external curricular academic internships, in the event that they cannot be performed because the destination institution has taken measures that prevent it, the alternative options will be evaluated in each case.
