Event linked to Open Education Week on teaching initiatives within the framework of Wikipedia

On March 5, the conference "Open Educational Resources: Share to Educate: Conference on Educational Initiatives within the framework of Wikipedia" will take place in the Room of Degrees of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

It is an event organized jointly by the UAB Library Service and Amical Wikimedia within the framework of Open Education Week.
The Open Education Week (which you can follow in the #OEWeek networks) is a global initiative that aims to raise awareness about the advantages of implementing resources and Open educational practices.
It is integrated into the Open Education Global program that works in order to expand access to education, improve its quality, make it more affordable and promote student access.
The Open Education Resources (OER) derived from this movement are based on the recognition of the authority and the public domain or and open license that allows access, use, adaptation and redistribution without any cost, restrictions or limitations.

In this edition we will focus on Wikiprojects (teaching projects developed through Wikipedia) as a teaching tool with an exhibition of experiences by Anna Costal and Enric Guaus (ESMUC), Lluis Madurell (Wikiars - Amical Wikimedia), Teresa Gea and Marius Monton (UAB Engineering), Xavier Dengra (Biosciences UAB) and Esther Solé (Amical Wikimedia Project Coordinator). The strengths and weaknesses of designing a teaching activity through the most important, open, free and participatory encyclopedia are currently analyzed.
And the person of the UAB lbiraries will expose the state of the issue of teaching resources in open at a general level and what is currently being done at the UAB. The video that has been programmed to encourage good practices for the preparation and dissemination of educational materials in the open will also be reported.
