On December 10, the Humanities Library opens the exhibition: Sharjah: world capital of the book 2019 showing the bibliographic collection the Sharjah Heritage Institute has donated to the library.

You can visit the exhibition in the showcases of the Humanities Journals Building until January 2020.

This exhibition is part of the cultural day of the Arab Emirates that the UAB has organized as part of the campus activities, which aim to encourage the organization and attendance of students to a program of non-academic activities, and get more out of the concentration of diverse knowledge that takes place in the UAB.

At 13 hours, classroom 4 "Carles Riba" of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting will host a round table on the culture and heritage of the UAE, which will continue with the screening of the film "Fan of Amoory" by Amer S. Al Murry.

Mohammed Abdullah Ali Khater Al Shamsi, consul of the UAE will participate in the round table; Albert Branchadell, dean of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting; Paula Santillán, Arabist and member of the scientific committee of the UAE "Shaikh Zayd Book Award"; and Javier Albarracín, specialist in international relations with the Middle East and expert in halal economics.
