Interaction Design for Museums and Beyond: Cultural Forms and Engagement". Michael Horn, School of Education and Social Policy, Northwestern University
In this presentation Michael Horn will think about the role of emerging interactive technologies in informal learning spaces such as museums, libraries, and cultural centers. His work takes up the question of how to help young people develop lifelong passions for learning in ways that resonate with existing cultural forms of literacy, learning, and play. Horn's work has been exhibited in museums around the world. His recent TunePad project explores creativity, learning, and self-expression at the intersection of music and computer code.
