Hack the Hospital: 5G Transatlantic Lab
Description:
5G Transatlantic Lab is a project created by Garage Stories and the Mobile World Capital Barcelona to explore the potential of 5G and XR technologies applied to paediatric healthcare. We aim at fostering new connections between creatives and technologists based in Barcelona and Boston to develop innovative projects that can reduce the negative impact of long term paediatric patients (and families) experience at the hospital.

In charge of MUVMI and COOLTRA, the webinar will feature Joan Malagelada, co-founder and director of MUVMI, and Timo Buetefisch, co-founder and CEO of COOLTRA, one of the leading motorcycle-sharing companies.
- MUVMI is a digital start-up that offers services and technological tools for traditional companies in the automotive sector to take a leap into new mobility. Juan Malagelada has been holding management positions in various brands, especially in the Commercial and Marketing area. He has been Director of Marketing and Communication at Audi AG (Germany) and Director of Marketing and Product Strategy at SEAT. He has also managed the network of SEAT's own dealerships and occupied the commercial and marketing management of the Spanish subsidiaries of Audi, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Hyundai and SEAT.
- COOLTRA is a leading international company that implements mobility solutions for everyone: sharing and renting of vehicles on two wheels for individuals, companies and Public Administrations. Timo Buetefisch, co-founder and CEO of the company, economist and MBA from the Kellogg School Oro Management and IESE, is an expert in mobility issues and international project management.

Science to Policy: Understanding the health risks of micro and nanoplastics
Description:
Launching event of the European Research Cluster for Understanding impacts of micro and nanoplastics on human health (CUSP)
To collect the necessary scientific evidence for assessing the risk of human exposure to micro- and nanoplastics, the EU Commission recently decided to fund 5 large research projects: AURORA , IMPTOX , PLASTICHEAL, PlasticsFatE and POLYRISK . These projects form the European Research Cluster for understanding impacts of micro- and nanoplastics on human health (CUSP).
This EU Green Week 2021 partner event will explain the purpose of the CUSP projects and discuss exposure, risks and analytical methods of micro- and nanoplastics for understanding impacts on human health.

- R&I funding programmes as tools for implementing the EC policy goals
- Workprogrammes – the call documents. An example from Pilar 2 Cluster 4.
Subjects relevants to Technology Transfer
- Going beyond the scientific excellence: What’s behind the topic text, cross-cutting issues, impact, contribution to policy goals.
- How to be an influencer: via the Member States, via technology platforms and associations. The voice of many. Reach a broad consensus and you will be listened.
- The participants ecosystem. What are the typical roles and interests in the R&I projects for the different organisation types? Academia, applied research institutions, consultants, SMEs, large industries, civil associations.
