Call for the Serra Húnter Programme 2020 now open
The UAB opens its selection process for tenure-eligible lecturer and researcher positions under a new call for the Serra Húnter Programme which will be open until 10 September.

The Serra Húnter Programme aims to recruit some 500 new faculty members to the Catalan public universities before the year 2020 and is funded by the Government of Catalonia and Catalonia's public universities.
The programme's objective is to incorporate into the universities highly qualified academic and research staff with academic records meeting high-level international standards. Positions are offered in the ranks of tenure-track associate professor, tenured associate professor, tenure-track full professor and tenured full professor.
In the first phase of the programme - which went from 2003 to 2010 - a total of 428 tenured associate professor were hired. In this second phase - which is being conducted during the 2012-2020 period, 500 new professors will be hired.
The selection process to choose the candidates will consist of two parts. The first will be an international campaign to inform academics of the positions offered by the universities. This part will focus on informing aspirants on the documents they will need to present when applying for one of the positions.
The second part consists in the selection process per se, with access to the positions offered and which will begin with the official call for applications.
