University Master's Degree in Translational Research in Physiotherapy

The master's degree was created to meet the need of greater development in scientific knowledge in the field of Physiotherapy, based on the approaches of Evidence-Based Physiotherapy (EBP)

General information

The translational vision of science is formed by that evolutionary stage of Evidence-Based Science which aims to offer each patient the best possible alternative known to science, in an individual and personalised manner through either molecular or clinical biomarkers, thereby translating laboratory research into specific applications to be used in clinical practices; thus, the translational vision in health science aims to accelerate the transition between basic knowledge and clinical practices by stimulating research into the directions which can be of most use to society.

This is an inter-university master's degree offered by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the University of Cantabria (UC). The centres which organise the degree's academic activities are the EUIF Gimbernat (Sant Cugat del Vallès) and the EUF Gimbernat-Cantabria (Torrelavega).
