Objectives

The minor in Basque Studies aims to provide basic, cross curricular and versatile training in the Basque culture, language and literature, with specific attention on its history, culture and language, and offering a contrastive vision in relation to other languages and cultures of the Iberian Peninsula, with the aim of broadening the intellectual interests of students. It also aims to help students acquire linguistic, literary and historical skills and competences with the aim of being efficiently prepared to confront professional and academic environments (institutional, commercial, etc.) in which knowledge of the Basque language and culture is of important added value.

Student profile

Students taking a minor in Basque are students enrolled in a UAB degree, with or without prior knowledge of the contents included in the minor, and interested in completing their university training with specific studies focused on the Basque language and culture.
