FAQs


Is the September exam included in the course? Is it compulsory?
No, the exam is not included in the course. You have to do this exam if you want to to pass a level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
 
Do I have to do a level test if I am a beginner?
No you don’t. You can register straight away at the administration office.
 
Can I register on line?
No. For the moment you still need to register in person. The office hours are
in January, February, May, June, September and October: Monday to Thursday,  9 a.m to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
in March, April, July, November and December: Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

If I have a certificate that is not issued by the Language Service do i have to do a level test?
Bring us the certificate and we will let you know whether you need to do the test. In any case, if the certificate if more than a year old, we recommend you do the test.
 
Do the certificates issued by the Language Service expire?
No, the certificates issued by the Language Service do not expire, even though the person’s language ability may vary greatly over time.
 
What do the students think of the courses?
Evaluation from the anonymous questionnaires filled in by students at the end of the course is generally very good with an average of 8 out of 10.
 
How many students are there on our courses?
The maximum number of students on the classroom-based courses is 22 (15 for the conversation courses) and 15 for the semi-classroom-based courses. The average tends to be 8 students which enables smooth and rapid learning and personalised attention.
 
If I have to leave the course because I get a job in the middle, will I get my money back?
No.
 
I’m not sure which is the best course for me. What shall I do?
Come to UAB Idiomes on the days of the level tests at any of the times advertides: you will have a Meeting with one of the teachers who can find out what you need and offer you advice.
