The objective of graphic design is to make a wide range of visual messages understanding and visually interesting. A complete domain of typography converts graphic designs into a key element in both the configuration of printed publications and in that of several other products in paper or digital format. Graphic communication forms part of the direction of art campaigns and in the creation of visual identities for institutions and companies, brands and products.

The Master in Graphic Design focuses on the specificities of graphic design with regard to objectives and programmes, resources and material, and project management and direction. It is characterised and stands out for its professional orientation which complements more generalist studies such as degrees and training courses in Design, as well as students who have specialised in other branches of design (interior decorating, industrial product design, fashion and textile design, etc.).

Therefore, the programme will provide you with the professional skills needed in different tasks existing in the graphic design process, from working either independently or with agencies and studios offering graphic design services, as well as in these types of departments in businesses and institutions.

The contents are focused on reviewing the bases and principles of graphic design, later to put them into practice and learn based on creation and experimentation.

- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how graphic design fits into the technological, cultural and business environments in which digital publications are produced.
- Use the knowledge acquired to propose improvements and innovations in the communicative context, on the basis of processes of conceptualisation and formulation specific to graphic design, and work in accordance with the conventions and procedural guidelines that characterise the design profession.

- Collect and interpret significant data to identify graphic communication problems in the everyday context that could be tackled through the practice of design itself.
- Use specialised verbal and visual language to make design proposals that can be clearly understood by the various agents involved: clients, printers, computer programmers, industrialists and the general public.
- Develop a high level of self-sufficiency to facilitate professionalisation and the management of graphic design projects.
