Graduate Diploma in Forensic Handwriting Analysis
IntroductionForensic Handwriting Analysis is the scientific study and application of advanced handwriting analysis techniques for the interpretation of both content and form in handwriting and other written marks, with the purpose of identifying documents for legal and crime investigation purposes, among others.
Objectives- Learn to participate in legal proceedings, by court designation, as an expert on handwriting and other graphic expressions of an individual's characteristics, by integrating specific training in new graphonomy methodologies and technologies applied to graphopathology and graphoanalysis, in order to analyse and interpret manuscripts and other documents with professional rigour, at the request of the court or the parties concerned.
- Learn to prepare expert-witness reports for use in trials or in consultancy services for Human Resources departments, to provide insights into an individual from the perspective of personality, relationships, pathologies or criminology, together with the multidisciplinary teams that conduct selection processes.
-Undergo specific training in new graphonomy methodologies and technologies applied to graphopathology and graphoanalysis, in order to act before the courts with professional rigour.
- Apply the principles of management by objectives and manage one's own career.
Bachelor's degree, pre-EHEA university diploma or equivalent.
Access to this course may also be considered for candidates who do not have the above qualifications, for example, if they have sufficient proven professional experience in the sector. On passing the course, these students will receive a certificate only.
The programme is aimed at those wishing to become specialist practitioners of European handwriting analysis for legal purposes and in graphopathology and criminology, in particular: lawyers, court officials, public and private security officers, doctors and senior nurses, criminologists and human resource managers.
