Introduction

The media become actors in the conflicts about which they report. Journalism in a war environment may not only contribute to expose civilian abuse but it may also call attention to ways to peacefully resolve violent situations.

The graduate certificate in Conflict and Peace Communication trains students by studying several international conflicts to understand the reasons behind them and how to report the news in a responsible way and with commitment to the values solidarity and social justice.

Access requirements

Bachelor's degree in any subject, and a letter showing genuine motivation for these studies.

Exceptionally, subject to the approval of the Graduate School, access is also open to those with sufficient proven professional experience in the sector. On passing the course, these students will receive a certificate of attendance only.

Career opportunities

- Foreign correspondents, special envoys, reporters.
- Press offices for NGO's and foundations involved in the area of cooperation.
