Bike to the UAB and win prizes

Starting on 15 February and until 15 March, all members of the university community are invited to participate in the second edition of the "Bike to the UAB" challenge. All the participants who overcome the challenge and bike more than 30 kilometres in one month, will enter to win different prizes.

The UAB opens a new period in which members of the univeristy community can participate in the “Bike to the UAB” challenge. All kilometres biked by participants from 15 February to 15 March will be registered.

The objective of this challenge is to foster the use of bikes to get to and from campus among members of the university community, and award those who use sustainable transport means to get to campus. Each kilometre is equivalent to 2 cycles and participants who do at least 60 cycles will have overcome the challenge. Once the challenge ends on 15 March, a winner will be chosen from all participants with 60 or more cycles.

The “Bike to the UAB” challenge forms part of the services and incentives programme within the BiciUAB programme, which proposes an integrated set of actions to promote the use of bicycles as a means of transport. The next challenge will be made public in January. All those interested in suggesting ways to improve the challenges, infrastructure and services destined to the use of bicycles can send an e-mail to: mobilitat@uab.cat.
