One of the five candidates of the Journal of Research in Reading includes the paper "Influence of a Catalan peer tutoring programme on reading comprehension and self-concept as a reader" by members of the UAB Research Group on Learning Among Equals and lecturers of the Department of Psychology and Education of the Faculty of Education Marta Flores and David Duran.

The work of Flores and Duran covers the effects of the programme Llegim en parella, a tutoring programme between equals aimed to improving language competences, reading comprehension and self-concept as readers. It is highly relevant for a paper on the learning of our language to be published in an international journal with headquarters in the UK and chosen for such a recognition.

The selection of articles is made according to relevance, accessibility, originality of the content, contribution to existing knowledge or the development of new knowledge, theoretical positioning, methodological option, critical analysis and references used.

The winners will be announced at the UKLA International Conference which will take place from 30 June to 2 July in Glasgow.
