Fotografía etnográfica de Max Schmidt (Perceval Press) on 20 February at 12 noon. German Max Schmidt (1873-1950) was one of the pioneers in the field of ethnography. In their book, Argentineans Federico Bossert and Diego Villar offer a compilation of the photographic fieldwork carried out by Schmidt in the Paraguayan region of Gran Chaco, during the 1930s and 1940s. Actor Viggo Mortensen, patron of numerous cultural and scientific projects, is the editor of this book, which has been published thanks to the documents conserved in the ethnographic museum "Dr. Andrés Barbero" of Asunción, Paraguay.
