The last edition of UAB Talks,an initiative inspired by TEDx Talks, has had a great success and it has helped the attendants to question the relation between conformity and employability. These conferences, which take place once per semester, are organized by students of the UAB Talks student society with the support of the Community Involvement Unit. There was a wide range of speakers, who talked about different topics, from aeronautics to music, but they all had something in common: they stepped out of the established path and they made their own way.

The format of this edition was more dynamic that other UAB Talks conferences. Last Thursday 26 May in the UAB Theatre we had the participation of Jordi Llonch (Sharing Academy founder), Arnau Navarro (Grou), Daniel Tejero (Odder), Tecnomags and Carles Ribes (former singer of the group Amelie). There was also an open mic, which has been named U-Talk, and there any person of the public can intervene by expressing their own ideas or talking about the projects that they have in mind. In this edition of U-Talk advice was given on how to do oral presentations and the initiative Dinero para estudiantes was presented.

75 % of the jobs of the future still do not exist, and this conference is a call for innovation and the revalorization of ideas that can succeed, just like the ideas of these speakers.
