The UAB, which was awarded an HR Excellence in Research (HRS4R) seal in December 2014 by EURAXESS, was invited to participate in the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for Recruitment, held on 3 March in Brussels. Pilar Dellunde, UAB's Vice Rector for Research, will be sharing information about the excellence in research conducted at the UAB with delegates from other research institutions, as well as her experience on the effects and benefits of applying human resource strategies in research.

Participants will reflect upon the development of the most interesting careers for European researchers and how to create strong institutional foundations for employment and expansion. Exchanges with consultants and political leaders will help maintain the pace while facing current and future challenges, and acknowledge the importance of quality and progress in the management of research careers.

In January 2012, the UAB gave support to the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for Recruitment. In October of the same year, the university became a member of the HRS4R community and in December 2014 it received an excellence in research seal. The seal reflects the commitment the university has in improving its human resource policies in accordance with the European charter and code, as well as maintaining just and transparent assessment and selection procedures.
