The International Welcome Days will take place from 15 to 19 September. During this week, international students will become familiar with the campus thanks to a series of activities organised by the UAB Participation Area. On Monday, the UAB Fair for Student Groups and Services will take place in the Plaça Cívica so that students from other countries can learn about the non-academic activities carried out on campus. The fair will begin at 12 noon. At 1:30 pm a welcome talk will be given at the UAB cinema hall by Lluís Quintana, Vice Rector for International Relations, and by representatives of the Participation Area and the Languages Service.

Throughout the week several activities, workshops and talks will be held. On Tuesday, the Fundació Autònoma Solidaria will offer information on the volunteering programmes and the Languages Service will tell students about the language tandem programme. On Wednesday, the Language Service will organise a workshop on the intercomprehension of Romance languages and the Erasmus Students Network (ESN) will inform about their activities.

On Thursday, students are invited to take part in the international luncheon and bring a typical dish from their country to share with the other attendants. In the afternoon, the university's physical activity service SAF will organise the activity "Dance Zumba". On Friday students will be able to engage in a Humans vs. Zombies survival game and on Saturday, 20 September, a final activity will be held at the Ciutadella Park in Barcelona.

In addition to this week of activities, all international students can receive information and support from the International Welcome Point (IWP), located at the Plaça Cívica. The IWP can help them in areas such as academic life, applying for a student card, information on grants and language courses, finding flats or other accommodation options, etc.
