The Tandem program activities have started

The Tandem Activities of the second semester have been inaugurated this Wednesday, February 14th 2018 on the occasion of the International Welcome Days (IWD), created to welcome international students who have just arrived at the UAB. This program offers UAB students the opportunity to practice different languages and get to know other cultures by participating a series of activities.
Newly arrived students have attended the first session of the activities of the Tandem from 3 pm to 5 pm in the Study Room of the Hotel of Entities (on the first floor of the Self-service Building at the Plaça Cívica). International students have practiced different languages through games such as the Taboo or the classic Scattergories accompanied by some mentors, and they have been able to meet both local and international students from other faculties.
The Tandem allows you to practice languages informally and, at the same time, to help other people to practice the language they want to improve. In the sessions there will be activities to talk in any language with other colleagues, and films in original version subtitled in the same language will also be shown. The purpose of the Tandem Activities is to offer a comfortable space for all the students where opportunities for participation are created equally.
The sessions will be held every Wednesday from 3 pm to 5 pm in the Sala Annexa of the Hotel of Entities. No registration is needed. For more information you can write to: info.participacio@uab.cat
