The Resource Centre for Student Societies is open again

On 1 October the Resource Centre for Student Societies re-opened to continue its support for associations and student councils at the university.

The Resource Centre has 3 meeting rooms, each with a capacity for 15 people, and it is the distribution point for materials for activities at the Plaça Cívica.

The centre has meeting rooms to help in the running of student societies. It is also the head office of the Student Council of the UAB (CEUAB), and it is where the Participation Area manages its logistical resources and promotes its activities.

This academic year the Resource Centre will be working just as it did last year and has the same facilities. It has 3 meeting rooms to satisfy the needs of the different student societies at the university. To book a room, just go there, call 935813105, or send an email to suport.participacio@uab.cat.

Besides the meeting rooms, the Resource Centre has an office for student support services and management of student societies and student councils, and a multimedia space with computers and connection points to the Internet. The centre also has a billboard for Participation Area activities and it is the collection point for tables, chairs and marquees for activities at the Plaça Cívica. The Resource Centre is the distribution and storage point for postal mail and for the posters to promote the student societies registered in the Directory.

Hotel d'Entitats

The Hotel d’Entitats has also re-opened for this academic year. The Hotel is a shared, multipurpose space for collective use, aimed at student societies registered in the Directory of Student Societies of the UAB. It has an area of about 250 m2 and it has useful furniture for meetings. In addition, it has 40 private lockers where student societies and student councils can keep their materials. You don’t need to make a booking to have access to the Hotel d’Entitats.

Both the Resource Centre and theHotel d’Entitats will be open until 30 June 2015 and they will have the same opening hours as last academic year: the Resource Centre from 11 am to 7 pm and the Hotel d’Entitats from 8 am to 8 pm. The Resource Centre is located in front of the General Newspaper Archives (Hemeroteca General) and in front of the entrance to the Study Room of the Self-service Building (Edifici de l'Autoservei) at the Plaça Cívica, while the Hotel d’Entitats is on the first floor of the Self-service Building.
