Registrations for the Mentor and Buddy programme now open!
23/05/2017
Registrations to be mentors or buddies of newly arrived exchange students are now open at the UAB!
On the one hand, the Mentor programme targets local UAB students enrolled for the academic year 2017/2018, as the activities of the programme will take place next year. This programme is designed to help international UAB students not only academically but also socially and culturally, all thanks to the collaboration of local students. Under the Mentor programme, mentors and mentored students belong to the same faculty to make it easier for them to help each other with their subjects and assignments. If you would like to enrol in one of these programmes, submit your registration form before 11 June.
On the other hand, the Buddy programme seeks to encourage the relationship between local and international students involved in the International Summer Term programme 2017 through social and cultural activities on campus. Interested students therefore need to be enrolled at the UAB in the academic year 2016/2017 and also be available from the end of June until early August, as the activity will take place in the summer. If you would like to enrol in one of these programmes, submit your registration form before 11 June.
These programmes are designed to encourage cultural exchange, language practice and social relations on campus. Joining the Mentor programme can be useful for those of you who are planning to go on an exchange or have been on one before, because it is a good way to keep in touch with the international atmosphere. You will also be able to learn how the exchange programme works from the inside.
Being a mentor can be a truly gratifying experience! Find more information about the Mentor and the Buddy programmes at the Community Involvement website.
