Open registration for the Debate League

Students of the Autonomous University of Barcelona enrolled in the academic year 2017/2018 can already register for the Debate League. Registration will be available until Sunday 18th February. For some days, students from different faculties will be able to improve their communication skills through a dialectic confrontation about this topic: ”Is the Western world responsible for the creation of the Islamic State?”.
The competition will be made up of one or more debates between the teams, depending on the number of registered teams. The system will depend on the number of teams. Like every year, students must register as part of a team made up of a minimum of two students and a maximum of five members. However, if a student fails to find a team, he or she can register individually and the organization will find a team for them. Each team must have a spokesperson as an intermediary with the organization.
The winners will represent the University at the debate league of the Catalan university network, at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, from April 16th to April 20th. Students can recognise two ECTS credits with this activity.
Those students interested in participating can find the contest rules at the website and must fill the registration form individually. However, they will have to name their team mates and the spokesperson. On the Youtube channel of Community Involvement you can find the videos of the previous editions of the Debate League.
