Minimum services at the UAB from 23 December to 7 January
As in previous years all facilities on the Bellaterra Campus of the UAB will be closed during the holiday period: from 23 December 2017 to 7 January 2018, and only certain services will be functioning, on a reduced timetable.
All UAB centres will be closed during the period 23 December 2017 to 7 January 2018. Some services, however, will still be operating on a limited basis.
The Security Service of the UAB (93 581 25 25) will continue functioning 24 hours a day, every day. The Health Care Service (SAS) will be closed, so in the case of a medical emergency, please contact the Security Service or call the emergency number 112.
Regarding transport, there will be no internal campus buses operating. For information on accessing the campus, please visit the website www.uab.cat/accessibilitat-transports. The campus post office will be open from on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All campus libraries will be closed. The Study Room in the Social Sciences Library will be open every day, but with varying timetables: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on 24 and 31 December, and 9 a.m. to 12 midnight on 25 December. The Communications Library and General Newpaper Archives will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from 2 to 7 January; the Humanities's Journal Building will also be open from 2 to 7 January (9 a.m. to 12 midnight) and the Study Room in the Plaça Cívica will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. between 27 December and 7 January, except for the days 31 December and 1 January.
The User Support Centre of the IT Service (93 581 21 00, email@example.com) will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from 27 to 29 December and from 2 to 5 January. The self-service photocopy machines will be permanently operative and the photocopy centre on the Plaça Cívica will be open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The General Registry (93 581 20 29, firstname.lastname@example.org) in the Rectorat building will also be open on workdays from 9 a.m to 2 p.m.
The Physical Activity Service (SAF) will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on 23, 27, 28 and 29 December, and from 2 to 5 January. It will be closed on 24, 30 and 31 December and on 7 January. The only catering service that will stay open is the café of the Hotel Campus, open from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the Social Sciences' café, from 2 to 7 January from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., expcet on 5 and 6 Januar, when it will close at 4 p.m.
