In this year's annual conference of the European Association for International Education (EIAE), which at the same time celebrates the most important higher educational fair in Europe, Catalan universities were awarded for their international tasks. They received the "Bo Gregersen Best Practice Award 2014" in recognition of the joint initiatives carried out by the international relations units. The award ceremony took place last week at the closing plenary of the 26th edition of the Annual EAIE Conference in Prague.

The "Cacatua Verda" work group was created in 2004 and is made up of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, University of Barcelona, Technical University of Catalonia, Pompeu Fabra University, University of Girona, University of Lleida, Rovira i Virgili University, Ramon Llull University, University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia and the University of the Balearic Islands.

Cacatua Verda was the name chosen to designate the offices of international relations belonging to the aforementioned universities. The work group was created in July 2004 with the mission of sharing experiences, problems and good practices in the management of internationalisation processes. The award recognises the stability of this group in the past decade, as well as the ability to share experiences and practices in internationalisation management, as well as setting up joint projects.

The Annual EAIE Conference reunites over 8,000 delegates from 120 countries and aims to exchange ideas on new aspects related to international mobility programmes and good practices in the field. A delegation representing the universities of Catalonia attends the fair each year. At the stand "Study in Catalonia. A Knowledge Hub in Southern Europe" visitors can find an ample information on all the universities of Catalonia.
