Jordi Oliver and Laura Talens, among the 300 Spanish opinion leaders in Circular Economy
24/07/2018
Organized by the Advanced Leadership Foundation (ALF) and the INCYDE Foundation, the main objective of the Summit was to increase public awareness of how circular economy and innovation represent competitive advantages for companies, institutions, entrepreneurs and for the country as a whole, thus promoting a faster and more efficient transition towards a sustainable economic model in Spain.
The objective of the Summit was to raise awareness of the benefits for society and the environment of this new economic model, and to create a national network of civil activists formed by 300 leaders selected among the 1957 candidates.
The 44th President of the United States Barack Obama, Sir Christopher A. Pissarides and Finn Kydland, awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2010 and 2004 respectively and Barry Barish, 2017 Nobel Laureate in Physics, headed the experts group who trained the selected leaders.
After the Summit, these leaders will become ambassadors of circular economy and innovation. Each leader commitment will consist in giving at least ten public presentations and participating in media events. A total of at least 3,000 public events are calculated to be held throughout Spain in the next 12 months.
