The International Students Welcome Days (IWD) for second-term students includes a long list of activities to help new students become familiar with the campus. From 9 to 14 February several exhibits, screenings, workshops and conferences will be offered so that exchange students can get to know the different student associations and the activities they carry out, as well as an international luncheon with typical dished from the students' countries.

These days the university community opens its doors to all international students. Sessions will begin with an associations' fair at the Plaça Cívica and a welcoming meeting at the Cinema Hall. There will be a presentation of the Erasmus Students Network, which works to connect and give support to all Erasmus students. With regard to languages, the UAB Language Service has organised a workshop to help students better understand Romance languages and to learn about the Tandem programme, coordinated by the Community Involvement group, in which students can meet up and exchange languages.

Other fun activities this week will include a Zumba class, offered by the Physical Activity Service (SAF), and a soft combat course organised by CRUAB (Role Playing Club of the UAB). The Fundació Autònoma Solidària will also present its activities and offer the possibility for students to discover the world of volunteering. On Tuesday, students will be able to enjoy a concert by the folk group The Blue, the Blonde and the Auburn, organised by Autònoma Actua.
