the ICTA-ICP building was selected finalist in the following competitions: Beyond Building Construmat-Barcelona, the 16th edition of awards in building innovation and sustainability, under the category of new constructions and refurbishments; the Catalunya Construcció 2015 Awards, in the category of Innovation in Construction; and the Arts and Design Promotion Awards (FAD Awards), under the category of architecture. A total of 383 works were examined in these most recent competitions, of which 45 were selected and 16 were declared finalists.

According to the jury of the FAD Awards, the ICTA-ICP building "balances the integration of complex climate and energy control mechanisms with the generation of interior spaces of high spatial quality. The building is understood as a complex system in which nothing is secondary and every element contributes with traits which enrich the final result. In an exemplary model, the building's structure, construction systems, environmental control systems, materials and maximum use of natural light converge to offer its inhabitants clear, serene and inviting spaces which have a minimum impact on the environment.”

The final decision and awarding ceremony of the Beyond Building Barcelona-Construmat Awards will take place on 21 May. The winners of the Catalunya Construcció 2015 Awards will be announced on 9 June, during what is known as Construction Night, an important meeting of the building sector which will take place at Barcelona's opera house, the Gran Teatre del Liceu. The date on which the FAD awards will be announced is yet to be confirmed.
