Darío Tejero studied Economics and Law at the UAB. He was vice-president of AIESEC and he has worked together with some companies that wanted to expand their markets from millenials’ perspective. He was selected to participate in Statify, a project that brings together young people with experience in IoT. He was one of the edition’s winners and he had the chance to work with the European Commission, where he collaborates as a junior consultant.

What importance do you think speaking in public has in every-day life and in university?

I think it is one of universities’ unfinished businesses. Research shows that one of the key element when trying to find a job soon is to have social abilities: how to interact with the others. We need to know how to convince others and how to sell ourselves.

In the conference, what will you speak about? Do you have any project?

I will talk about my personal and learning experience; I’ll explain what I’ve learned after a few years in the world of entrepreneurship. I want to link my talk with future connections: networking, self awareness and Internet of Things. I’m the founder of Odder, a community that brings together young people of Barcelona with talent in different disciplines, it is a wayto make professionals from different areas work together in projects.

How can your experience help UAB students?

The attendants will have the chance to learn from someone who has experience as an entrepreneur and who knows about new technologies. They will also discover what Odder is and what is happening in the entrepreneur world and the job market for young people.
