Conference on the History of Human Sciences at the UAB

The conference, organised by the UAB Centre for the History of Science (CEHIC), will take place at the Faculty of Psychology and will bring together 180 experts from the European Society for the History of the Human Sciences (ESHHS) and the International Society for the History of Behavioral & Social Sciences (CHEIRON).
Throughout the conference's five days, participants will be discussing issues linked to the history of social sciences, the humanities and behavioural sciences. Presentations will focus on the areas of historiography, the history and philosophy of science, the dissemination of science and the role of experts in modern society, as well as the dissemination of science and technology in the European periphery. The issues which will be discussed include the history of child psychology and psychiatry, the role of paranormal studies in the humanities and gender perspective in the history of psychology, as well as the relationship between psychology and Catholicism, the study of science and psychology in 20th century Spain.
