A delegation formed by representatives from the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) and the Secretary of Universities and Research of the Government of Catalonia is participating in the international fair organised by the Association of International Educators (founded in 1948 under the name of National Association of Foreign Student Advisers - NAFSA), the most important higher education fair in the world, which this year will be held in Boston, Massachusetts. The ACUP delegation includes a team of UAB representatives led by Lluís Quitana, Vice Rector for International Relations.

The ACUP will be presenting the internationalisation strategies of the Catalan university system in the United States and will be offering all types of information on undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the stand "Study in Catalonia. A Knowledge Hub in Southern Europe". The website www.studyincatalonia.com will also be presented, which includes many helpful tips for foreign students.

While in Boston, the Catalan delegation will be meeting with representatives of the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education and with several institutions from the East Coast, such as Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Tufts University, the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and the National Science Foundation (NSF).

This is the fourth consecutive year that the Catalan university system participates in this fair, which this year has been organised around the theme of "New Horizons in International Education". Over 400 universities and higher education centres participate and more than 100,000 visitors are expected to pass through the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
