The objective of this cycle is to promote originality and quality as the main guidelines.

It seems that the UAB Theatre does not ever close. In addition to the artistic programming of the Autònoma Actua cycle, the stage will be also full of professional performances by Artefacte, the annual cycle of professional performing arts. This cycle proposes the university community a series of representative, original and quality works of dance, music and theatre.

This year Artefacte will have two theatre plays and a music concert scheduled for Tuesday 3, Wednesday 11 and Thursday 19 March.

The cycle will start with the play Montaldo, created and performed by the actor Ernesto Collado. Montaldo is the story of a revolutionary Catalan who travels to Texas in the 19th century with a group of European socialists and founds a Utopian community: Icaria. As he was an explorer in search of a treasure, Ernesto Collado reflects on the conflicts between the collective society and the individual. How did this experiment ended? You will know the answer on Tuesday 3 March at 6 pm in the UAB Theatre.

The musical performance will be in charge of the Bushakevitz Duo, an Israeli formation by the violinist Avigail Bushakevitz and the pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz, winners of the 25º edition of the International Contest Paper de Música de Capellades. The Bushakevitz siblings will perform works by great composers such as W. A. Mozart. Both have great experience and they are internationally recognized. You will have the opportunity of enjoying their talent on Wednesday 11 March at 5 pm and at 6 pm.

The third Thursday of March at 10 am and at 4.30 pm you have two sessions to enjoy the play “De algún tiempo a esta parte”, by the Valencian author Max Aub. The director and performer Esther Lázaro explains in a monologue the story of a Jew woman in Vienna occupied by Hitler’s troops.

The objective of this cycle is to schedule professional performances for the university community and promote originality as the main guideline. Don’t miss this opportunity and come to enjoy the Artefacte cycle, we are waiting for you!
