A successful participation in the IWD’s

The second week of September started with the IWD’s in order to receive all the international students that have came here during this course. In these days, the students have attended a big variety of activities to know better the University, to meet other students and the activities that the UAB offers to them.
 
The IWD's began on Monday the 15th of September with an exhibition where there were different services of the UAB and some groups of students, explaining the activities that they would make during the course and giving the possibility to participate with them. Then there was a welcome session in cinema of the UAB, which involved the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Lluís Quintana, the FAS organization, el servei de llengües, etc. They explained the activities that the UAB will offer to students.
 
The activities during all the week had a lot of participation, for example in the presentation of the group ESN (Erasmus Student Network) or in the international lunch, where a lot of students cooked some typical food from their countries and they eat all together in front of the cinemas. They share the food with the local Students that are participating with the Mentor Program.
 
They have also been very interested in have contact with local students and find a language partner, so many of them were interested in the Tandem program.
 
To end the week, on Saturday they made a picnic in the Ciutadella Park, taking advantage of various activities due to the celebration of Mercè, a lot of students came to eat.
