Are you into science? Then don’t miss out on the Critical Science Week!
09/05/2017
The organizers of the Critical Science Week 2017, from 15 to 19 May, are the student groups Ambient Crític, Assemblea Ecologista, Hortet de la UAB and Assemblea de Ciències, Biociències i Enginyeria. Talks, film forums, and workshops are some of the activities that will take place throughout the week, always keeping in mind goals such as awareness-raising and scientific dissemination. There will be a popular lunch to protest against food waste and a seminar by Antonio Turiel, expert in fossil fuel exhaustion and author of ‘The Oil Crash‘ blog.
The Critical Science Week is a platform for student involvement and training. All the activities are related to scientific studies and the analysis of the concepts that science students learn at the University from a different point of view.
The Critical Science Week seeks to reflect on scientific knowledge and evaluate its role from a social and political perspective, keeping in mind that science is meant to serve public interest. Find more information on the activities at the Critical Science Week’s Facebook event.
