The UAB among the top 100 worldwide in twelve subjects

The UAB ranks 33 worldwide in Veterinary Medicine and is among the top 100 best universities in eleven other subjects, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject. The ranking classifies 1,117 universities in 46 different subjects.

The British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) recently published the results of its seventh edition of QS World University Rankings by Subject, in which it classifies the top 1,117 universities in the world in 46 subjects.
 
The UAB ranks 33 worldwide in Veterinary Medicine and is among the top 100 universities in Archaeology, Modern Languages , Agriculture and Forestry, Geography, Environmental Science, Anthropology, Communication, Political and Administration Sciences, Sociology and Sports-related Subjects.
 
The UAB is among the top 150 universities worldwide in the subjects of Philosophy, Mathematics, Physics, Education and Statistics; and among the top 200 in Art and Design, English Language and Literature, History, Chemical Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacology, Psychology, Chemistry and Law.
 
The QS World University Rankings are considered one of the most prestigious rankings in the world, next to the Times Higher Education and the Academic Ranking of World Universities of Shanghai. In this edition, a total of 4,438 universities were evaluated and 3,098 universities finally qualified for classification. Of those, the top 1,117 were then classified according to their degree of quality in 46 disciplines, four more than the ones taken into account in 2016.
