Psichologycal care service for gender violence victims' in the UAB

The implementation of the Protocol against sexual harassment and harassment based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, approved in July 2016, made visible the need to strengthen the psychological care service for cases of sexist violence.
 
The Psycho Gender Unit, part of the SIEPEP (Strategic Projects Services in Psychology) of the Psychology Faculty, has been commissioned to offer this service, which this course is renewed with the addition of a person who will attend Wednesdays of 10 at 3pm
The service consists of the reception, counseling and psychological monitoring of people who have lived or live in abusive relationships and gender violence. It also advises and accompanies close people (friends and family) to detect needs and derive the corresponding services. In this sense, Psychogender collaborates with different centers, preferably from the public network, in order to offer services adapted to the needs and demands of each person.
