24/11/2017

The Awards for the best Final Degree Works with a gender perspective will be delivered next November 28 at 1:00 pm, in the Teatre of Plaza Cívica. This is the second edition of the awards convened by the Observatory with the intention of encouraging research on gender issues.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Alumanado y Ocupabilidad, Sara Moreno, the President of the Institut Català de les Dones, Núria Balada, and the Director of the Observatory, Joana Gallego, will deliver the diplomas. The president of the ICD will deliver the lithography as part of the prize.

This year a total of 56 Final Degree Projects have been presented from all the faculties of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, of which 21 have been awarded. The selection procedure and the proposal to award the prizes has been different from last year. ; on this occasion, the students had to present their candidacy and a commission formed expressly in each Center has decided the awarded works.

With this initiative the Observatory wants to stimulate among the UAB students their interest in gender inequality, which can be applied to all areas and disciplines.
