Admission Official Master's Degree in Research in Clinical Psychology and Health

Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

To be admitted on the master’s degree, students must be pre-EHEA graduates or graduates in Psychology.
Those holding a degree in Medicine, Nursing, Speech Therapy, Social Work, Educational Psychology, and other similar degree courses in the area of Health Sciences and Biosciences may also be admitted. For such students, the committee of the master’s degree, after assessing their academic file, may establish the bridging courses considered necessary. Details of such bridging courses are outlined in the corresponding section below.
Basic knowledge of English (level B1 of CEFR or higher) is required. In the event that students do not hold an accrediting document, they may request a comprehension and expression test from the committee of the Official Master’s Degree en Research in Clinical and Health Psychology.

Selection criteria

Should the number of applicants exceed the places on offer, places will be allocated in accordance with the following selection criteria:
  • Degree, priority given to pre-EHEA graduates or graduates in Psychology (40 %)
  • Academic File (30 %)
  • Curriculum vitae (20%)
  • Motivation letter to the coordinators of the master’s degree which explains the reasons why students have chosen the master’s degree, indicating links between candidates’ research or career aims and the lines of research and intervention developed on the master’s degree, and their proposal for a research project. Coherence and interest in the research project. (10 %).

Complementary training

As indicated in the section on admission, students holding degrees other than Psychology, depending on their academic curriculum, must undertake bridging courses in the area of Psychology, prior to undertaking the master’s degree, up to a maximum of 60 credits. In the event that students have to undertake more than 18 bridging course credits, they will have to undertake the master’s degree over two academic years.
