Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

You need the following qualifications to be admitted to this master's degree:
  • Hold a degree certificate in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Genetics, Medicine, Microbiology, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology or Veterinary Medicine, or a degree from other fields of life and health sciences. You may also be admitted if you hold an equivalent qualification issued abroad.
  • Hold an English certificate (Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or equivalent). If you do not have an official document to demonstrate your level of English, the Coordination Board for the Master's Degree will be in charge of evaluating your knowledge of English.

Selection criteria

Should the number of applicants be higher than that of places on offer, these will be allocated according to the following criteria:
  • Student record 60%
  • Curriculum Vitae: Scientific publications, conference papers presented, stays at research centres, professional experience and other academic merits 20%
  • Personal interview 10%
  • Cover letter addressed to the master's coordinator 5% (interest in translational research in the biomedical field, motivation for a career in research and interest in continuing on to a PhD programme, and skills to describe personal aptitudes and abilities will be taken into account)
  • Reference letters (from academics or researchers) 5 % (you will be evaluated on your research stays and your skills and aptitudes).

Complementary training

The qualifications giving access to the master's degree do not require any additional training courses.
