Introductory courses for 1st year students
At the beginning of the academic year, the Library organises a course entitled "Discover the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives" for 1st year students, aimed at presenting the Library, showing the document collection for the different sections and providing information about the Library's operation and the services it offers. All the first year students take the course as part of the History of communciation subject.

Specialized courses
The Library also organises specialized courses on the reference manager Mendeley.

Specialized training on information resources
We show you the electronic resources (main databases, e-journals and e-books, tools and resources of special interest...) which you can consult at the UAB, according to the specific subject of your interest:

All these training sessions take place at the Training Room of the Communication Library and last for 2 hours. You can enroll in any of them sending an e-mail at, telling the subject you are interested in and the hours you would like to attend to the course. In a short time the library will contact you in order to confirm that the session will be carried out.

Guided visits
The Library offers to the academic staff the possibility of requesting a guided visit.
