4th CORE Seminar in Mental Health: "Mental Health 4.0: New technologies applied to mental health research and treatment"
Description:
The objective of this year's CORE Seminar is to offer a space for all of these innovative techniques and technologies being applied today in the Mental Health field. With this in mind, the seminar will include both CORE researchers and researchers from other centres who will explain the potential of tools such as optogenetics, deep cerebral stimulation, big data, virtual reality and mHealth. These tools can help in improving the knowledge of how the brain works and the subjacent mechanisms of mental disorders, as well as offer advantages in the therapeutic field. The conferences will cover a wide range of disciplines from basic research in psychobiology and the approximation to engineering fields and clinical practices, to applications in the public health system.

Ideas Generation Program 2017: Final competition
Description:
The UAB Research Pac will organize on November 30 the final competition of the Generation of Ideas Program 2017, focused on Industrial Biotechnology and Biomedicine. After two months of the program, the finalist projects will present their ideas to experts in valuing business ideas and sponsoring companies, which will select the three winning projects. Once the prizes are delivered, a cocktail and networking will be held among the attendees.

Presentation of the Bioindustry for Bioeconomics Community (BBCAT)
Description:
Under the framework of the research and innovation strategy designed by the Generalitat de Catalunya (RIS3CAT), the UAB and the UAB Research Park are working to create the Community of Bioindustries for Bioeconomics. The objective is to increase the efficiency, competitiveness, profitability and sustainability of bioproductive processes by promoting the application of transversal facilitating technologies.
Next Wednesday, January 31, the Eureka Building of the UAB Research Park will host an event to present the Community opened to all agents interested in participating in it.
