1. What is Trobador+

  • Trobador+ is the gateway to access to UAB Digital Library. It is an easy and quick way to access the full-text of most of e-resources subscribed by the university.

3. How to search

  • You can search from the main search box using simple or advanced search and from paragraphs Find Databases, e-Books and e-Journals.

4. QuickSearch

  • You can search simultaneously on a set of electronic resources indexed in Trobador+ or on library catalogs and  Google Scholar search engines, choosing this option from drop down menu.
  • You must enter the query terms in the text box, preferably in English and press the Search button.
  • By default the basic search is executed by combining words with AND. If you wish you can also include the operators OR and NOT (always capitalized). You can also search for exact phrases using quotation marks ("").

5. Advanced search

  • You can search by author, title and subject and refine by date of publication, material type, language, etc.

6. Find databases

  • You will find databases, portals, e-books and magazines, dictionaries, government publications, theses, search engines ... organized by type, category and subcategory.
  • You can get more information about the resource by clicking Show info button. You can add to MyAccount the shaded gray box resources.
  • You can perform a simultaneous search on the selected resources. Note that you can only select those resources that have shaded gray box.

7. E-books

  • You can find electronic books subscribed by UAB searchig by title, author, ISBN and platform, as well as combine these different fields and also browse the full text.

8. E-Journals

  • You can search the electronic journals by title, subject, and publisher or ISSN from the advanced search. You can also browse the list A-Z. Note that this search is done in the titles of the magazines, not inside the journal content.

9. Access to full text - SFX

  • In the results screen, you can refine your search, to extend it to other resources without full text content, to limit your search to peer-reviewed and / or follow other suggested searches.
  • The list of search results is sorted by relevance, but it can also be sorted by date, author and title.
  • Icons that precede each record indicate tha material type.
  • All resources with the green button and the phrase full text available are available in full text. To consult it you can press the record title or View online.
  • Other options for each record are Details, for summaries, language, etc., More, to check availability on paper, the impact factor of the journal (if it has) or access the service Pregunt @, among other possibilities.
  • You can add records to your account (My records) by clicking on the star next to the icon and also disable them.
  • From View online - Send you can print, send by e-mail  or export any record.

10. E-shelf

  • To use E-shelf you must be registered. It allows you to save records and e-resources, searches and edit your profile. You can create folders to organize your saved records and resources. You can also create groups to jointly seek your favorite electronic resources. In the Query tab you can see the searches you have made ​​in the last session, save queries, and create your alerts.
  • Furthermore, from My records, you can select more than one result and save it or send it by e-mail in bulk. Select the records you are interested in, click on Export / Save / Email. The records are stored in a file. Exl that can be opened with Word or Notepad.
