Acceptance speech extract

"Are we in danger of a decline in our privacy?
...So, there is still no answer to the title question. I believe that we shall witness a steady development of information techniques, including technologies that may also be applied to limit our privacy. Perhaps the time will come when not only somebody else?s voice or his body temperature could be remotelymeasured, but also bymeans of some cunning encephalograph, one could read somebody else?s thoughts. At this point and before that happens, however, I would like to see that proper defense systems have been developed.".
