In order to ensure greater transfer of knowledge from the university to society, the UAB, through the UAB Research Park (PRUAB), offers a consultation and support service for the creation of companies.

UAB, through its research park PRUAB, promotes the transfer of knowledge from the University environment by means of two main routes: evaluation and study of the introduction into the market of the patent or intellectual property or the creation of spin-off companies. The process of company creation within the University has to be dynamic above all. This means that when you contact us with the aim of creating your company or evaluating the commercial potential of your technology, the most important thing we can offer you is an itinerary designed specifically to ensure that the move from idea to company takes place in the steadiest possible way.

The final phase of this itinerary is the arrival in the marketplace of a maximum number of initiatives, all with possibilities of market success. We consider this phase should last from three to five years.

Following an initial filtering process, we decide whether the initiative should be focused towards creating a scientific/technical department, a research centre or a spin-off company.

If we decide on a spin-off company, we will begin the process which will lead the entrepreneur to set up the company.
