Academic Calendar
The academic year in UAB is divided into two semesters (19th September - 30th January; 20th February - 14th July). Each semester lasts approximately thirteen weeks.
Academic year
Each credit of a subject accounts for 10 lesson hours. Also, UAB credits have their ECTS equivalence (European Credit Transfer System). One ECTS credit accounts for 1 UAB credit.

A full-time semester accounts for 30 ECTS
Equivalence FTI / UAB credits – ECTS
- 1 academic year = 60 ECTS
- 1 first-cycle year in FTI / UAB = 74 UAB credits (approximately)
- 1 academic year = 60 ECTS
- 1 second-cycle year in FTI / UAB = 76 credits UAB (approximately)
